A beautiful city encircled by pine trees, Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya. The beautiful hill station received its season’s first snowfall ahead of Christmas. On Wednesday, a massive hailstorm, with thunderstorms and heavy rainfall hit Shillong.
The temperature dropped to 6 degrees Celsius in the city as it turned white.
After the city was covered in “snow”, heavy traffic congestion was reported from the city. Netizens flooded social media with pictures showing the beautiful view of the city.
