Mercedes brutally drags bike riders along in horrific accident along Jalandhar-Ludhiana Hwy; Dead

A high-speed collision caused the victims to be dragged along for nearly 40 meters; the bike caught fire, immolating the victims

Two youths died in a tragic road accident near Goraya late night on Jalandhar-Ludhiana Highway in Punjab. A speeding Mercedes car hit the two individuals traveling on a motorcycle from behind and then dragged them along for nearly 40 metres. Due to this the motorcycle lit up in flames, due to which the bodies of both the victims were horribly burnt. The victims could not be identified at the spot. According to the information, this accident happened near Atta canal of Goraya. An eyewitness to the accident, Vicky of Asahur village, Phillaur, told the police that he saw the accident take play from behind the motorcyclists on the highway. Both the young men had just emerged from a palace some distance away.

 

The Mercedes car was traveling at a very high speed, the collision was so strong that the two youths in the car were dragged along with the bike for about 40 meters. After being dragged so much, both of them, who were badly injured, did not have the strength to separate themselves from the motorcycle. The bike subsequently went up in flames. After this, instead of saving both of them, the car driver ran away from the spot.

 

The witness somehow separated both of them from the fire and informed the police about the incident. After receiving the information, Goraya police station in-charge Inspector Sukhdev Singh and investigating officer Harbhajan Singh Gill reached the spot late at night and took both of them to the hospital where the doctor declared them dead. The police have seized the accused's car and the victim’s bike from the spot.

 

The bodies of both the deceased have been sent by the police for postmortem. According to the police, both the youths died on the spot. Police have circulated photographs to identify the two deceased and have registered a case against the unknown car driver.
