Miami Dade Police officer shot in head, 'critically injured' after 'Fast & Furious' like car chase

The Miami car chase became deadly after the suspect fired at a Miami Dade Police officer and the bullet allegedly hit his head.

The streets of Miami was jolted with the echoes of gunshots, sounds of police siren, and chasing cars after an armed suspect opened fire on Monday evening. The Miami car chase became deadly after the suspect fired at a Miami Dade Police officer and the bullet allegedly hit his head. America is witnessing a massive amount of gun violence incidents in the past few months. Almost every day, gun violence is being reported in the United States of America. In fact, Joe Biden-administration had also stood up against the gun culture, however, the Supreme Court of the United States shelved the administration's plea.

Coming to the Miami Dade gunfight incident, the suspect who opened fire was shot and killed by police. Reportedly, the Police responded to a scene where officers were surrounding a vehicle. The suspect managed to get away from Miami Dade Police's claws. He was barricaded inside the vehicle on Northwest 62nd Street and 17th Avenue.

After the suspect fled from the Police, a Hollywood movie-like car chase took place between the Police and the suspect. In fact, the vehicle was involved in a multi-car crash where shots were eventually fired.

As per the U.S. Sun, the Miami Dade Police officer who was shot in the head is a Robbery Intervention Detail officer. As soon as the Miami Robbery Intervention Detail officer was shot, he was rushed to a hospital. Reportedly, the officer is getting treatment at Ryder Trauma Center where doctors are trying to save him. However, the officer's health condition is critical and 'not looking good'.

Miami-Dade police union president Steadman Stahl was quoted saying, "It's not looking good." In fact, Mayor Esteban of the city of Hialeah issued his condolences on behalf of the injured officer.
