In a historic moment, Michelle Yeoh on Sunday etched her name into history books when she won the best actress award at the Oscars 2023. Michelle Yeoh won the best actress award for her incredible performance in the movie Everything Everywhere. Written by Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert, Everything Everywhere dominated the Oscars 2023 as it won 7 awards out of 11 nominated sections including best film and best actress awards. Coming back to Michelle Yeoh, she became the first Asian star to win best actress in the 95-year history of the Academy Awards.

Yeoh took home the Oscar for her starring role in the psychedelic comedy-drama “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” The accolade makes Yeoh the first Asian actress ever to win in the category. "For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is a beacon of hope and possibilities," Yeoh said in her acceptance speech. "This is proof that dreams dream big, and dreams do come true."
