Ever since the nationwide lockdown came into force from March 25, several migrant workers from states like Delhi, Maharashtra have tried to return to their native places defying lockdown order. On Friday, India extended the lockdown till May 17 and that made the situation even worse for the migrant workers. 

As many as 18 migrant workers were found hiding inside the dark and compact tank of the cement mixer with hardly any space to move, or even breathe.

The workers were traveling from Maharashtra to Lucknow in violation of lockdown, were intercepted by the Madhya Pradesh Police in Indore.

Informing about the incident, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Umakant Chaudhary said,  "They were travelling from Maharashtra to Lucknow. The truck has been sent to a police station and an FIR has been registered."

In the video, the workers can be seen coming out of a small hole of the tanker.
