Joe Biden is going to be the 46th President of the United States of America on Wednesday, January 20. Similarly, Kamala Harris will ascend as the Vice President. After the unrest that shook the country on January 6, US tightens security ahead of the inauguration day.
Thousands of National Guardsmen are protecting the US Capitol and other prominent buildings for any possible untoward situation that might arise on the day of Biden's presidency.
The searing in ceremony of Joe Biden will miss the values that America stood for like the openness and peaceful transitioning of power from the previous president to the new one. In more than a century, it is a momentous and historic occasion where America is truly polarized and fragmented by the supporters of Trump including those who believe in the conspiracy theories ranging from QAnon, Pizzagate and Wayfair among others.
There are people who believe that these elections are stolen.
Arrests of suspects:
The police had arrested a Virginia man trying to enter the restricted area. He had a loaded gun and ammunition, if reports are to be believed. Wesley Allen Beeler was stopped by US Capitol police when he had driven up to a security check post of E Street and North Capitol street, near capitol building at around 6:30 PM on Friday.
The arrest of Beeler at a time when the January 6 US Capitol attack made headlines and Biden is about to ascend as the President of United States of America on January 20, has cautioned everyone.
Similarly, a 22 year old man has also been arrested before the inauguration in Virginia. Guy Berry was carrying a handgun, three high-capacity magazines, and 37 rounds of ammunition near the US Capitol on Sunday.
It becomes the third arrest after security forces in Washington are on high alert. The city around the National mall and Capitol complex will be guarded by around 25,000 National Guard troops.
Meanwhile, Facebook has banned advertising related to gun
accessories and tactical gear until January 22.
Anticipation of violence:
The forces are on high alert because the FBI has warned of anticipated violence in the country ahead of the inauguration day. The city is locked down to prevent any chaos arising out of Trumps's exit and Biden's entry as the President of America. Trump has refused to attend the ceremony while first lady wishes to attend but could not as per several experts and people in touch with Melania Trump.
The inauguration festivities are highly contracted considering the pandemic guidelines.
According to a report published in Al-Jazeera, Chuck Hagel who was the secretary of defense in the Obama administration and earlier as a Republican senator termed it a most secured inauguration since the President Abraham Lincoln's swearing ins.
Hagel said the militarization ahead of the inauguration
day is unheard of even during the inauguration
of Trump and Obama, they both faced threats of protests. In a telephonic
interview with Al-Jazeera, he said, "It is a sad day for America."

National Guardsmen guarding Capitol building:
Experts are of the view that the US Capitol building is safe now because many guardsmen are protecting the Capitol. There are many check posts and guardsmen protecting the premises with the help of wires.
Two "First Amendment Zones" will be allowed as
announced by the National Park Service, Pennsylvania Avenue, the road
connecting the Capitol to the White House.
