Minor kidnapped in Ludhiana: Raped for 5 months after being taken to UP

A shameful incident to humanity has come to the fore where a 16-year-old girl has been raped for 5 months. After kidnapping the girl in Ludhiana, the accused took her to Uttar Pradesh where the accused raped her continuously for 5 months.

On September 16th, she managed to escape his grasp in some way. Upon arriving home, she told her family about the entire incident.

The minor was abducted by his neighbor in April. Police of Thana Division No. 6 have registered a case against 21-year-old Ranjit alias Chhotu, a resident of Vishwakarma Nagar. The complaint has been registered following the statement of the victim's mother.

In her complaint, the mother stated that her 16-year-old daughter had disappeared on April 24. They looked for her personally but came up empty-handed. After which she lodged a missing complaint with the police. She received a call from her daughter on September 16 at around 11 am from an unidentified number. She said she was at the Gonda train station. They informed the police and brought the daughter back on 18 September.

After reaching home, the girl said that on April 24, when she was alone at home, the accused Ranjit alias Chhotu entered the house and raped her. The accused forcibly took her to Gonda, where he locked her in a room and raped her for 5 months. On 16 September she managed to escape and reached the railway station.

SHO Inspector Madhu Bala of Police Division No. 6 said that under IPC sections 376 (rape), 344 (wrongful confinement for ten or more days), 506 (criminal intimidation), and section 8 of protection of children from sexual offenses. Raids are being carried out to apprehend the accused, according to a complaint that has been filed.
