After the failed drone and missile attack by Pakistan on India's Punjab on Thursday night, missile debris were found in the fields of Punjab in multiple areas. As per the information received, a neutralised missile fired by the Pakistanis was discovered in the Kamahi Devi area of Hoshiarpur district. The local police rushed to the site following the report, and the area has been cordoned off for safety.
Initial reports suggest that the missile could be PL-15 that is Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM) — a weapon system known to be used by the Chinese military. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the origin or nature of the object.
At the same time, pieces of rockets have been found in the fields of village Tugwali in Bathinda. SSP Amneet Kaundal said that the area was sealed at night. The army team has reached the spot. After the late-night attack in Pathankot, the police have started a search operation near the airbase. Punjab Police personnel are searching the fields. A bomb has been found on the river bank here. After which the area has been sealed. At the same time, the sound of 3-4 explosions was heard at 4:30 am.
