PM Modi following 'Yam rules' ahead of Ayodhya Pran Pratishtha event; 'Sleeping on floor, drinking..'

A few days back, PM Modi announced that he is observing an 11-day 'anusthan' (special ritual) to participate in the auspicious Pran Pratistha of Ramlalla in Ayodhya.

Termed the event of the year, the countdown for Pran Pratishtha of Ramlalla in Ayodhya began with PM Modi on 11 days Anusthan. For the unversed, a few days back, PM Modi announced that he is observing an 11-day 'anusthan' (special ritual) to participate in the auspicious Pran Pratistha of Ramlalla in Ayodhya. He announced the start of the ritual on January 12 and said he was fortunate to witness the "historic" and "auspicious" occasion of the Pran Pratishtha. Now, it is reported that PM Modi is strictly following the 'Yam Rule' and under it, he is sleeping on the floor with a single blanket and drinking coconut water to keep himself energetic. 

 

On January 22, PM Modi will perform the puja for the "Pran Pratistha'. A team of priests led by Lakshmikant Dixit will perform the main rituals of the Pran Prathistha. For the unversed, 'Pran Pratistha' means imbibing the idol with divine consciousness and is a must for every idol that is worshipped in a temple. The auspicious time for it is 12.30 pm on January 22. 

 

On January 18, 2024, PM Modi released commemorative postage stamps on Ayodhya's Ram Temple and a book with stamps dedicated to Lord Ram from around the world. "Today, I got the opportunity to attend another event organised by Shri Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha Abhiyan. Today, 6 Commemorative Postage Stamps on Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir and an album of stamps issued on Lord Ram around the world have been released. I want to congratulate the people of the country and all Ram Bhakts across the world," PM Modi was quoted saying.

 

Ram Mandir's Pran Pratistha Schedule Announced

January 17

A procession carrying the idol of Ram Lalla will reach Ayodhya. Devotees carrying Saryu water in Mangal Kalash will be reaching the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.

January 18

The formal rituals will begin with the Ganesh Ambika puja, Varun puja, Matrika puja, Brahmin Varan and Vastu Puja.

January 19

The holy fire will be lit, followed by the establishment of 'Navagraha' and a 'havan' (holy ritual surrounding the fire).

January 20

The sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple will be washed with Saryu water on January 20, after which the Vaastu Shanti and 'Annadhivas' rituals will take place.

January 21

The Ram Lalla idol will be bathed in 125 urns and will finally be laid to rest.

January 22

Over 100 chartered jets will land in Ayodhya with the invitees for the event. Devotees from 150 countries are expected to attend the ceremony on the final day. From 12:30 pm to 1 pm, the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony will take place and the deity of Ram Lalla will be consecrated.
