After establishing himself as one of the best contemporary actors in India, Punjab singer & actor Diljit Dosanjh on Friday night launched the teaser of his upcoming movie Panjab '95. Directed by Honey Trehan & Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Panjab '95 features Diljit Dosanjh, Arjun Rampal, Jasbir Gill, Varun Badola, and more in the leading roles. Panjab '95 is a true story based on the life of Sikh rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. Interestingly, Diljit shared Panjab '95 teaser with a special caption highlighting that the movie will be released in theaters with 'No Cuts'. This means that the CBFC has given a certificate of no objection to Diljit Dosanjh's movie.

Sharing Panjab '95 teaser, Diljit wrote, "Panjab '95 (translated) releases in Cinemas Internationally only on 7th February..P.S. Full Movie, No Cuts."

Notably, Panjab '95 releasing in theaters with no cuts is eyebrow-raising as last year it was reported that the Indian Censor Board asked the makers to make plethora of cuts in their movie. The Central Board of Film Certification in India had proposed 120 cuts in the film to the makers.

However, Diljit after concluding his Dil-Luminati Tour in Ludhiana on December 31, 2024, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chamkila actor who was assumed to be a Modi critic met the Indian Prime Minister and shocked everyone. Diljit had an interaction with PM Modi about Yoga and Indian Culture. In fact, the Punjabi singer also sang a para of a song for PM Modi.

The irony is that Bollywood actress & BJP MP from Mandi, Kangana Ranaut had to fight a legal battle with CBFC to release her movie Emergency. Not only this but Emergency was released in theatres on January 17 but with multiple changes i.e. cuts.

Notably, Kangana who engaged in a war of words with Diljit Dosanjh on X in favour of the BJP during the farmers protest accepted that PM Modi never met her one-to-one. Recently in a podcast with Subhankar Mishra, Kangana reacted to PM Modi-Diljit Dosanjh's meeting and reiterated that the Punjabi singer was at the forefront of the 'hijacked farmers protest'. However, the Bollywood actress expressed that she is neither embarrassed nor disappointed that PM Modi never met her.

"I think people who have been left behind mentally or intellectually, he will meet and enlighten them," Kangana had quipped.
