New Delhi: PM Modi on Friday will carry forward the second day of his first round of election campaign. He will be onrushing three rallies one each in Odisha's Koraput, Mahboobnagar in Telangana and Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. 

Prime Minster, on the first day of his campaign, addressed rallies at Meerut in UP, Rudrapur in Uttarakhand and Jammu in J&K. Modi kick-started his campaign in Odisha with a rally at Jeypore, a tribal hub in Koraput district on Friday. On 1st April, Prime Minister will also be visiting the Kalahandi district of Odisha. One of the most backward districts in the county, Kalahandi has a glorious past and great civilisation in ancient time.

Prime Minister's rally at Mahboobnagar in Telangana will be his first election rally for Lok Sabha polls in the newly carved out state. DK Aruna who lost Assembly elections on Congress ticket is now contesting as BJP candidate from Mahboobnagar. Also, just few days back, Telangana Rashtra Samithi floor leader in the 16th Lok Sabha : AP Jithender Reddy joined BJP here. Meanwhile, TRS has fielded industrialist M Srinivas Reddy and Vamsichand Reddy is the Congress nominee in the area, as per reports.

In Andhra Pradesh, Modi's rally will be held in Kurnool. Often referred as The Gateway of Rayalaseema, Kurnool was the capital of Andhra State from 1 October 1953 to 31 October 1956. PM Narendra Modi, is slated to visit Andhra Pradesh again on April 1 for a rally at Rajamahendravaram.

Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi will be addressing public meetings at Kurukshetra and Karnal in Haryana on Friday.
