12-year-old child was electrified by high-voltage lines passing outside his home in Kansal (Mohali). When the family complained to the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), they were asked to pay for the work to cover or remove the wires. The family has asked the SDO level officer to take suitable action in this regard.

The family said that there are three children in the house and such an accident could happen again. At the same time, the lives of other people living in the street are also in danger.

Due to this electric shock, two pits were left in the stomach of the child. He somehow made it through. The incident took place on September 29, after which till now the electricity department has not taken any action to cover the wires or retract the poles, etc. After receiving the complaint, a department official visited the location and demanded payment from the family. Which, after explaining her predicament, a family member suggested she could only give her kidney.

According to the complainant, Ashish Gautam, a JE level officer arrived at the scene to investigate after receiving the allegation. His child got electrocuted by the wires of the department. The department is demanding money from the son for handling the wires in reverse rather than paying for the son's medical care.

The department responded to the request to cover the wires by stating that the house is five feet from the power lines. At the same time, the family showed the department personnel that the electric pole was less than two feet away from the house. An accident could occur at any time in such a circumstance.

A complaint has been given to the SDO of Mullanpur Garibdas (Mohali) in the matter. Demand has been made that the main line of electricity should be converted into a cable. It has been stated that the locals' lives are in danger as a result of these wires running outside the homes. According to the complainant Ashish, his son Budnesh, who is 12 years old, received an electric shock on September 29. He was electrocuted by the main power line that crossed close to his home. This current passes through the grill on the first floor of their house. His son was standing near the grill when he felt this current.
