The crime rate in Punjab is increasing day by day. A case has come to light from Mohali where a man was shot three times in his stomach on Sunday night. The condition of the person remains critical and he has been undergoing treatment in PGI.
The person has been identified as Harvinder Singh of Ropar. This person had come with his family to have dinner in Mohali Phase 5. Late-night here, unknown assailants fired three rounds at him in the parking lot. The incident happened at around 10.15 pm. The car of the man was also taken away by the attackers.
He had come for dinner in a Hyundai i20 car with his wife and two children. While the family was having dinner at Barbecue Nation, Harvinder got a call and went to the parking lot, where the bullet was fired. At the same time, eyewitnesses said that after some heated arguments, shots were fired. The attackers then fled in his car.
He was first taken to a private hospital in Mohali Phase 4. From here he was referred to PGI. Mohali SSP Viveksheel Soni also reached the spot. Meanwhile, the stolen car has been recovered from Shahimajra by the police.
