Moosewala massacre: Punjab Police encounter with sharpshooters Mannu and Roopa in Amritsar; firing from both sides

The encounter is taking place in the village on the road leading to the Attari border

The Punjab Police has an encounter with the sharpshooters Manpreet Mannu Kussa and Jagroop Roopa, the murderers of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in Amritsar. Firing is taking place from both sides. Both the gangsters have been cordoned off by calling Punjab Police personnel from all over the state. 

This encounter is taking place in the village on the road leading to the Attari border. The area is about 10 kilometers away from the India-Pakistan border.

Police investigation revealed that Jagroop Roopa and Manpreet Mannu, the sharpshooters who killed Moosewala, were roaming in Punjab even after the murder.

According to sources, they were hiding in a village in Tarn Taran till the end of June. Roopa is a resident of this area. Here another gangster Tufan hid them in his farmhouse. Gangster Raiya was also present with them.

Both the gangsters were seen in Moga's Samalsar on 21 June. They were caught on the CCTV camera while going on the stolen bike. Sharpshooter Mannu Kussa is close to gangster Lawrence and his Canadian sitting partner Goldie Brar. On May 29, Mannu shot Moosewala in Jawaharke, Mansa.
