Sidhu Moosewala’s death anniversary will be held on 19th March 2023, one month prior to when Sidhu Moosewala's actual 'barsi' was to be celebrated. Slain singer’s father Balkaur Singh announced the date of death anniversary and urged fans to be present on occasion of Sidhu Moosewala’s death anniversary.
Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh stated that they have decided to carry out death anniversary(barsi) of the singer one month prior keeping the summer season in mind. Citing the reason, he stated that it’s hot in summer and not to cause any problem to anyone, family has decided to do so. For this, his father has sought permission from the Gurdwara Committee. Normally, the death anniversary is celebrated in the 11th month but singer's father decided to keep it in the 10th month.
As per information, Sidhu Moosewala’s death anniversary will take place on 19th March 2023 at Navi Anaj Mandi, Mansa. Moosewala’s father requested fans not to bring any banners or posters of his son and maintain peace during the ceremony. Balkaur Singh further added that he will take round of whole village in Sidhu Moosewala’s favorite Thar.
Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on 29th May 2022 in Mansa district. Later Goldy Brar from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang took responsibility of the murder and stated that to avenge death of his brother singer was killed.
Reportedly, on 4th March 2023 a minor boy from Jodhpur was arrested for threatening to kill Sidhu Moosewala’s parents.
