The compulsory South Korean military service date for four BTS members is rapidly approaching. RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook are the sole members of the seven-person BTS band who have not yet commenced their mandatory military service duties. Jin commenced his service last year, while J-Hope and Suga enlisted earlier this year. BIGHIT Music's recent update on the enlistment process does not specify a precise date but outlines the current procedural timetable.

According to the reports, BIGHIT Music expressed gratitude to the fans and provided follow-up information regarding the military enlistment of RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The report confirmed that RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will enlist as active-duty soldiers in the Army to fulfill their military service obligations. According to the statement, RM and V will enlist individually through their procedures, while Jimin and Jung Kook will enlist at the same time.

BIGHIT clarified that there will be no separate official event on the day of their entry into the recruit training center, a departure from the usual practice that includes send-offs from family members and has previously attracted crowds of fans. The agency requested that fans only give a warm send-off and encouragement to RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook with their hearts.

Suga is the sole BTS member to have completed his mandatory service as a social service agent rather than an active-duty soldier in the military. His shoulder surgery in 2020 likely led to this alternative service method. In South Korea, all able-bodied men between 18 and 28 must serve for two years.

Ahead of their enlistment, all seven BTS members have strengthened their musical presence. Jung Kook released his debut album "Golden" last month, while V unveiled his "Layover" debut in September. Suga, performing as August D, released his new album "D-Day" in April, and Jimin's project "Face" was released in March. Jin released his single "The Astronaut" before enlisting last year. RM concluded 2022 with his album "Indigo," and J-Hope released "Jack in the Box" last July.

In September, it was announced that BTS would renew their contract with HYBE and BIGHIT Music. Each BTS member reportedly plans to sign exclusive agreements with the company following a board resolution with BIGHIT Music. The contract will encompass future releases from 2025 onwards, when their hiatus is expected to conclude.
