In a heartbreaking development, Super Size Me documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock on Thursday died at the age of 53 in New York. Morgan Spurlock's death was reportedly confirmed by his brother Craig Spurlock. Morgan Spurlock rose to fame in 2004 for making the award-winning documentary Super Size Me. In the documentary, Morgan Spurlock ate only from McDonald's every day for one month in all his three meals- Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. What happened to Morgan Spurlock?

As per US media reports, Morgan Spurlock's death reason was revealed by his brother Craig. Morgan Spurlock died from complications of cancer, his family announced on Friday. Craig Spurlock was quoted saying, "It was a sad day, as we said goodbye to my brother, Morgan.. Morgan gave so much through his art, ideas, and generosity. The world has lost a true creative genius and a special man. I am so proud to have worked together with him."

Morgan Spurlock was natively from West Virginia. Morgan Spurlock's documentary showcased the drastic change in his physical health and well-being after he ate at McDonald's. Not only this, Morgan Spurlock had also lowered his workout to match the average American's physical activity for 30 days. 

After 30 days of experimentation, Morgan Spurlock claimed that he had gained 25 pounds, saw a spike in his cholesterol level, and suffered from depression and liver dysfunction.
