While the memories of the Turkey Earthquake still haunt the world, a massive quake hit Morocco resulting in the death of at least 296 people in the country. As per reports, the US Geological Survey stated that the Morocco earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.8 when it hit at 11:11 p.m., with shaking that lasted several seconds. On the other hand, Morocco's National Seismic Monitoring and Alert Network measured tremor at 7 on the Richter scale. The US agency reported a magnitude 4.9 aftershock hit 19 minutes later. The Country's Interior Ministry confirmed at least 296 deaths. Now, multiple visuals have been surfacing on social media and Morocco Earthquake Videos are going viral.

Not only this, but Moroccans also posted videos showing buildings reduced to rubble and dust and parts of the famous red walls that surround the old city in historic Marrakech, a UNESCO World Heritage site, damaged. The epicenter of Morocco Earthquake was 18 kilometers below the Earth's surface, while Morocco's seismic agency put it at 8 kilometers down.

It is pertinent to mention here that Morocco Earthquake also got India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi's attention who offered his condolences despite of the fact he was busy in the famous G20 Summit in New Delhi. PM Modi wrote, "Extremely pained by the loss of lives due to an earthquake in Morocco. In this tragic hour, my thoughts are with the people of Morocco. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover at the earliest. India is ready to offer all possible assistance to Morocco in this difficult time."
