On Tuesday Jabalpur district police stated that a 14-year-old boy committed suicide. The boy pushed himself to take such a drastic step when the father of the boy forgets to recharge his mobile phone data on time. The incident took place in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur district.

The City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Alok Sharma said “On Monday the boy was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his house”.

A preliminary probe has figured out that the boy took this step as his father, who is currently working as a laborer and has been facing financial problems, was unable to recharge the teen’s mobile phone data pack for the last few days.

The CSP also added that the boy was concerned about the mobile phone data as he was addicted to playing games on the mobile phone. As online interactions have increased, due to that teenagers have become dependent on gadgets. The youth fall prey to ‘gaming addiction’ and this results in negative consequences which have to be faced by the parents. When these addictions are not fulfilled this leads to depression and anxiety in teenagers.
