MSME secretary resigned, likely to bag role in UP Govt

Sharma was a secretary, Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Earlier he served as secretary in Prime Minister's Office for five years.

Arvind Kumar Sharma, a senior IAS officer of Gujarat cadre voluntarily resigned on the pretext of getting a role in Yogi Adityanath's government.

Known to be enjoying full confidence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he was a secretary, Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Earlier he served as secretary in Prime Minister's Office for five years.

Sharma belongs to Uttar Pradesh. He served in the Modi's Chief Minister Office in Gujarat.

Sharma was asked to take premature retirement because decision to induct him in the government was taken in a meeting of CM Adityanath of UP with PM Modi.

Recently, former Director General of Police (DGP) Law and Order from Uttar Pradesh, Me Brij Lal was elected to the upper house of the Parliament on BJP ticket.
