Mudasir Ahmed Sheikh: Nation hails 'Heroism' of cop killed in Baramulla encounter; Akshay Kumar: 'A hero'

Baramulla Encounter: Mudasir Ahmed Sheikh, the father of Jammu and Kashmir policeman Mudasir Ahmed Sheikh, who laid down his life to save hundreds of lives, said that he is proud of his son.

He said his son would never come back, but he saved hundreds of lives by neutralizing terrorists. Ahmed Sheikh said that he had last spoken to his son three days ago. Three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists killed in encounter Mudasir Ahmed, a J&K policeman, was a part of the Baramulla encounter. 

In three Pakistani terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed were killed on Tuesday. Inspector-General of Police Vijay Kumar said the encounter took place at one of the 'nakas' set up by the security forces in the valley. “There were snakes all over Kashmir on Wednesday. On one such block, there was a spot check-up at the Najibhat crossroads of the Kareri area. Three Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were killed.

 

Killing terrorists a big success He said that while the police force suffered losses, the killing of three terrorists was a huge success. 'Three terrorists could have come to Srinagar and planned the attack.' He said the terrorists were active in the hilly areas of Gulmarg for the last three to four months. "We were tracking them regularly," he said. 

Kumar said that so far this year, 22 Pakistani terrorists have been killed in various encounters with the security forces. Father said - don't shed tears, my son is martyred When the body of Mudasir Ahmed Sheikh arrived in the tricolour amid a gloomy atmosphere in the Baramulla Police Line located on the banks of Jhelum, Ahmed Sheikh proceeded to pay his last respects to the son. 

Tears were flowing from his eyes. He clings to the coffin. Then he got up and wiped away his tears, widening his chest and said to the soldiers standing nearby, do not shed tears, my son has been martyred, he has saved thousands of lives. He said that I knew my son would not come back, but I am proud of him.
