While there are no major developments coming in the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput's case, Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and Sushant's sisters Meetu and Priyanka are having a legal fight against each other at the Bombay High Court. Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters Priyanka and Meetu had knocked on the doors of the Bombay High Court to quash the FIR registered by the Mumbai Police on the complaint of actress Rhea Chakraborty. The complaint by Rhea Chakraborty was later transferred to the CBI.

Rhea, in her six-page long complaint, stated that Sushant passed away five days after he obtained a prescription wherein “he was unlawfully prescribed psychotropic substances at the behest of his sister Priyanka”.

Opposing this, Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer Satish Maneshinde requested the Bombay High Court to quash the plea of Sushant's sisters. Rhea in the affidavit wrote Sushant Rajput died merely five days after he obtained the said prescription, wherein he was unlawfully prescribed psychotropic substances at the behest of his sister (Priyanka) and Dr. Tarun Kumar."

"'It needs to be investigated whether Sushant Rajput consumed the medicines prescribed, which may have contributed to his death and/or further deteriorated his mental health."

Now, the Mumbai Police has filed its response to the FIR filed by them. Mumbai Police told the Bombay High Court, "The FIR was registered based on the information provided by the first informant (Rhea Chakraborty), disclosing commission of the offense. A fake medical prescription was sent by the petitioners with the help of a Delhi-based doctor wherein medicines for anxiety were prescribed to Rajput".

"This may have led to administration of psychotropic substances without actual examination of Rajput by the doctor, and may have caused and contributed in his suicidal death. This version of the informant disclosed cognisable offences warranting investigation and requiring no preliminary enquiry. Therefore, the Mumbai police were duty-bound to register the FIR," added Mumbai Police.

However, the CBI totally quashed the FIR of Rhea Chakraborty. The CBI told the Bombay High Court, "FIR is vitiated & bad in law. The complaint filed by Rhea Chakraborty is  mostly speculative in nature & such speculation can't be made the basis of an FIR."

"The CBI is conducting investigation meticulously and professionally without being hindered by any external factor and would thoroughly look into each and every aspect relating to the death of Late Sushant Singh Rajput in a fair and impartial manner," the CBI added.

Now, all eyes on the Bombay High Court whether it will quash the FIR of Rhea Chakraborty against Sushant's sisters or not.
