A shocking incident has surfaced in Mumbai where Chief Loco Inspector has died by suicide after jumping in front of an approaching train right before it entered the platform.

CCTV footage of the incident placed on the railway platform is taking rounds on social media which shows that the man jumps down on the track in a pink shirt and laid down across the breadth of the track cutting him in half as all the other passengers watched him in absolute shock.

Moments before jumping he roams on the platform like every other usual passenger who would know what steps he is going to take next.

Reportedly, the incident is said to be reported from a local Mumbai railway station Vile Parle, a case has been registered in the nearby police station falling under the GRP jurisdiction.

The video was posted from the Twitter handle @Ninad0921 wrote in the caption, On January 26, a railway employee committed suicide under the train during the afternoon session at Vile Parle station. The reason behind the suicide is not yet clear but the step was taken due to work stress.

However, the Western Railways PRO has denied all forms of angle into the suicide claiming that the step taken by the inspector was not driven by work-related stress. Detailed investigations into the case are underway.
