Bangladesh wicket-keeper & batter Mushfiqur Rahim registered an unwanted record under his belt when he tried to grab the ball while batting. Bangladesh vs New Zealand Second Test is underway at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka. The hosts are leading the two-match test series by 1-0. The BANvsNZ 2nd Test became the topic of discussion when Mushfiqur Rahim was given out for handling the ball or obstructing the field. Mushfiqur Rahim became the first Bangladeshi batter to be dismissed in such a manner.
The incident took when in Kylie Jamieson's over. Mushfiqur Rahim at first tried to stop the ball from going onto the wickets, however, the ball went over it. Mushfiqur Rahim again repeated his gesture and he stopped the ball from going onto the wicket with his hand. As a result, Mushfiqur Rahim was given out by the on-field umpires. Now, Mushfiqur Rahim video has been going viral on social media and fans are going gaga over it.
As per MCC, a batsman could be given out for handling the ball if, while playing a delivery if the batsman intentionally touched the ball with one or both of their hands not holding the bat.
