Talent has no boundaries. Determination and hard work are all that you need to be successful. A 22-years-old Nagpur boy does wonder by making an F1 car model from scrap. Due to insufficient funds, he was unable to buy the F1 car for himself. But, to accomplish his dream, he decided to build a car himself.

Swapnil Chopkar’s car has been powered by Maruti 800 engine and the rest of the car from used parts. He had been working very hard for the last few years. He was doing odd jobs at a garage to gain more knowledge about automation.

Swapnil was immensely fond of cars, especially, racing cars. He always wanted to have one so he decided to build his own car.

Hailing from a middle-class family, Chopkar did part-time jobs to meet his family expenses. He purchased Maruti 800 from scrap dealers and spent 1.25 lakh on this project. He borrowed this money from his family and friends, while he utilized some savings of himself which he kept for his wedding.

With the help of YouTube tutorials, he started working on his dream project. Selecting components for the car was a tough job. His friends Nikhil Umbarkar and Pranay Mahajan conceptualized his dream and helped in the procurement of the car parts.

The car has 5-litre fuel tank and has 16 litres of fuel efficiency. The car is designed to run smoothly on Indian roads and even on pit-free roads. It took him more than a year to build his dream. He failed many times in his attempt but still kept on trying to fulfill his dream.

Swapnil’s father distributes bakery goods while his mother is a physiotherapist. He wished to join Industrial Coaching Institute (ITI) after completing his post-graduation.
