In his recent tweet, Navjot Sidhu praised theKejriwal-led-AAP for recognizing his work and vision. Sidhu's remark comes amidescalated tension in the state unit.
Navjot Sidhu said, “Our opposition AAP has alwaysrecognised my vision & work for Punjab. Be it Before 2017- Beadbi, Drugs,Farmers Issues, Corruption & Power Crisis faced by People of Punjab raisedby me or today as I present “Punjab Model” It is clear they know - who isreally fighting for Punjab”.
Tagging an old video clip of AAP leader Sanjay Singhpraising him for 'taking the bold step' of quitting the BJP in 2017 and forraising his voice against the Akali Dal and the Badal family that leads it,Sidhu in another tweet said: "If the opposition dares to question me, yetthey can't escape my pro-people agenda...This means they have resigned to theirfate."
This is not the first time Navjot Sidhu has praised AAP,earlier he advocated for a 24-hour supply with no power cuts and free power upto 300 units and said that Kejriwal promise is achievable.

The latest has been the issue of electricity in whichSidhu targeted the Chief Minister and with counter offensive after theallegation that Sidhu himself has been a defaulter and has not paid his bills.
Meanwhile, after Sidhu met Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and RahulGandhi separately, there was speculation that Priyanka Gandhi has suggestedSidhu's name as the Punjab Congress chief. However, Amarinder Singh and some ofthe other factions in the party are not accepting this formula.
Moreover, Congress general secretary and Punjab affairsin-charge Harish Rawat has now given confirmation that Party High Command wouldsoon replace Pradesh Congress chief Sunil Jakhar, and subsequently rejig theCabinet. Besides, he also confirmed that Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singhwill remain in the post and next elections will be held under his leadership.
