Navjot Singh Sidhu, Former President of Punjab Congress has got great relief from the High Court as he has got an exemption from appearing physically in Ludhiana court due to health reasons. Reportedly, Sidhu will now appear through video conferencing in the CLU case.

Sidhu also filed a petition on 21 October 2022 to testify in the Bharat Bhushan Ashu case virtually instead of being physically present there. The reasons cited by him were his deteriorating health. He furthermore asked for increased security during his appearance as Sidhu alleged danger to his life. Although the plea got rejected by the court.

After various refusals of the former president to appear in court citing health as the reason, a production warrant against him has also been released by the court of CJM Sumit Makkar. Navjot Singh Sidhu has complained about the same in the high court.

For the information, Navjot Singh Sidhu has to appear as a witness to testify in the case filed by DSP Balwinder Singh Sekhon against Bharat Bhushan Ashu.
