In a road rage case in Patiala, former Punjab Congress head Navjot Singh Sidhu has surrendered. After the medical examination, the police bought him to the Patiala Central Jail. Sidhu’s rival Majithia is also in the same jail. He brought a suitcase full of clothes. The court has completed the paperwork for Sidhu's surrender. His medical is now being completed at Mata Kaushalya Hospital. He will be in the same jail where Bikram Majithia, Sidhu's arch rival, is being held in a drug case. Despite the fact that Sidhu is incarcerated and Majithia is still detained.

The Supreme Court did not provide Sidhu relief. During the surrender, Sidhu did not speak to anyone. The Supreme Court declined to consider the curative petition on Friday. Sidhu's lawyers were hopeful that the petitioner will request another Supreme Court hearing in the afternoon. The hearing, however, was not held in the Supreme Court. Punjab Police would arrest Sidhu if he does not surrender.

On Sidhu's lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi's petition, Justice AM Khanwilkar said, "We are forwarding the matter to the Chief Justice, who will determine whether to hear it." On the grounds of ill health, Sidhu had requested a one-week extension to surrender.
