Punjab Congress President Navjot Sidhu made a political impact on Tuesday. Ahead of the Congress political decision pronouncement, Sidhu reveled his Punjab model in Chandigarh. Not just this, Sidhu likewise cautioned the Congress that his political future depends on this. Sidhu said that this has been said after conversing with the overall secretary of the party. It will go to them prior to going into the proclamation. He also stated that he would not compromise on this decision.
Not only this the other surprising thing that came forward was that CM Channi’s photo was missing from the poster. Only Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi were in it. He went on to say that the CM of Punjab will not be decided by the party high command, instead it will be decided by the people of Punjab.
Sidhu’s Punjab model is:
· Punjab State Liquor Corporation: Liquor is out of GST. Those who levy VAT on it are earning more money. An example of this is Tamil Nadu earning 37 thousand crores, while their consumption is half that of Punjab. This will prevent corporation excise leakage. Stop illegal sales. Liquor will be brought under VAT. Government contracts for liquor will open.
· Punjab State Sand Mining Corporation: Government stockyard will be built. There are 102 mining sites in 14 districts. The government itself will sell sand by mining. Telangana model will work. This will generate an income of 3 thousand crores. There will be chips on the trucks. There will be an annual audit for this. There will be 3 thousand crore income. 5 thousand people will get direct and 15 to 20 thousand will get indirect jobs.
· Punjab State Cable Regulatory Commission: There are 20 million TV sets in Punjab. There will be no imposing business model on the link. Will direct commission rivalry. With this, the link of 400 will be accessible in 200. This will give 3 to 5 thousand crore income.
· Outdoor Advertising Regulation: Sidhu said that Ludhiana earns 50 lakhs, but there was a contract of 36 crores. I brought the policy.
