SSR Drugs Case: NCB arrests alleged Nigerian drug peddler of Bollywood with Cocaine, LSD

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is continuously hammering the drug racket in Mumbai. The anti-drug agency is in a pursuit to nab the kingpin of drug cartel who are supplying drugs in the entertainment industry. A huge controversy took place when the NCB sent a notice to filmmaker Karan Johar in the drugs case. 

Now going by the reports of Mid-day, the NCB on Thursday on arrested a Nigerian professor from Nalasopara and found him in possession of "intermediate quantity" of cocaine. As per NCB, a team of NCB seized 10.2 grams of cocaine and one blot of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) from Nwagwu Princewill Chika. 

"During the search,  seven small packets of cocaine, which were concealed in two separate packets, recovered from him. He was also carrying another packet containing LSD,” said an officer privy to the investigation.

As per media reports, Chika is a professor by profession and is suspected to have been providing drugs to certain high-profile clients especially in Bollywood. The agency also found that  Chika is a graduate of Imo State University in Owerri, Nigeria, and used to teach about the functioning of the government. He had come to India in 2017 on a tourist visa, which expired in 2018. He continued to stay here and even learnt the Hindi language.

As per Officials, Chika is not cooperating with the NCB officials and he has refused to share the password of his electronic gadgets with the NCB.
