With the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) questioning several top Bollywood divas as part of its investigation into the drug angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, the drug law enforcement agency's chief Rakesh Asthana arrived in Mumbai on Sunday to take stock of the probe.

According to NCB sources, Asthana, who flew from Delhi to Mumbai earlier in the day, met several officers and was briefed on the two drugs cases the agency had registered last month after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) wrote to it following the alleged chats of several Bollywood celebrities purportedly discussing drugs.

Going by the media reports, there were meetings going on between the NCB chief and the team involved in probing the drugs case. Going by the reports of Republic, the NCB Chief has said that a minimum of 6 months is required for the NCB team to file the charge sheet in the narco case. Importantly, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Simone Khambatta's phone have been seized by the NCB to get more evidence.

The NCB is trying to find the financial drug transactions made by the actors in order to nab the kingpin of the drug cartel. Apart from the celebrities, there are 20 high-profile drug-peddler are also under the scanner of the NCB. The report suggests that the NCB Chief has clearly directed the team to focus on drug peddlers and come with technical evidence first before summoning any Bollywood stars.
