Jalandhar will host a massive yoga event at PAP Grounds on June 19, where Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal will participate in a special yoga session under the 'CM di Yogshala' campaign. The event is expected to draw a crowd of nearly 20,000 participants, marking one of the largest public gatherings for a wellness initiative in the city.
As per reports, over 17,000 mats have already been distributed in Jalandhar ahead of the event, indicating overwhelming interest. With final preparations in full swing, meetings have been held under the leadership of DGP Dr. Simerdeep Singh and ADGP Punjab IGP Police Headquarters, with additional coordination involving local MLAs, councillors, mayors, and administrative officials.
This will be CM Bhagwant Singh Mann’s second major yoga event in the city, following the previous session on June 11. Officials noted that extensive planning and coordination are being conducted to ensure the event’s success and public safety. Departments including police, health, education, and municipal corporations are closely involved.
