Neetu Shatran Wala was the first to file the nomination papers from Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat on Wednesday. Neetu, who is often in the spotlight for his comedy, announced in Amritsar that he would contest elections from Jalandhar and Varanasi seats. He also said that his wife will contest the elections for the Amritsar seat. It should be noted that Neetu has contested the Lok Sabha elections several times before, scoring a crippling defeat on each occasion.
Neetu had said that whichever seat he contests from, he will win. He further said, “For so many years you have been electing the leaders of Congress, Akali (SAD) and BJP. This time give me a chance too. If I win, I will change the face of Jalandhar.”
