October is here and Netflix has planned out its content for autumn 2020. It still has a lot of gems to be found throughout the month. Welcome to your full look at all the Netflix series/movies currently scheduled to hit Netflix (mostly globally) throughout the month of October 2020. 

1. Emily in Paris(season 1)

Netflix Release Date:  October 2nd


Tolkein star Lily Collins stars in her second Netflix Original, taking on the lead role of Emily in Paris. The plucky new comedy series could be Netflix’s next smash-hit comedy series.

Emily, an American woman from the Midwest, moves to Paris for an exciting new job. Upon arriving, its clear cultures clash as the midwestern gal adjusts to Parisian life.

2. Ginny Weds Sunny

Netflix Release Date:  October 9th


Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam’s wedding extravaganza, Adam Sandler’s new comedy, and Lily Collin’s new romantic drama series make up some of the highlights this week. Headstrong Ginny meets Sunny for an arranged marriage, but turns him down. Sunny then teams up with Ginny’s mother to win her love.

3. The Haunting of Bly Manor (Season 1)

Netflix Release Date: October 9th


Mike Flanagan’s horror anthology returns just in time for the Halloween season.

With plenty of returning cast members, Netflix subscribers can look forward to the adaptation of the classic ghostly tale of The Turn of the Screw.

4. Grand Army (Season 1)

Netflix Release Date: October 16th


Netflix continues to pump out coming-of-age dramas of the woke variety, and that looks to continue with the release of Grand Army.

Told across the POV of five different students who attend a busy public Brooklyn High School, as they struggle to navigate love, sex, and life.

5. Serious Men

Netflix Release Date:  October 2nd


Tormented with his ‘under-privileged’ societal status, an ambitious underachiever capitalizes on his son’s newfound fame as a boy-genius to improve his family’s fortunes. Little does he realize that the secret he harbors will destroy the very thing he loves the most.

6. David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet

Netflix Release Date:  October 4th


A broadcaster recounts his life, and the evolutionary history of life on Earth, to grieve the loss of wild places and offer a vision for the future.

7. La Révolution

Netflix Release Date: October 16th


Announced on Bastille day, Netflix’s expansion into French dramas seem to climax with this upcoming period drama series.

Expected to cover the French revolution, the only synopsis we’ve been given so far is “The 1% can be bloodied.”

8. Unsolved Mysteries (Volume 2)

Netflix Release Date: October 19th


Netflix’s reboot of the classic Unsolved Mysteries series had an excellent start with its first-half released earlier in 2020.

Now, it’s returning and promising even more tales that never got answers. This season will also features a ghost story that is perfect for Halloween!

9. Hubie Halloween

Netflix Release Date: October 7th


Hubie Dubois (Adam Sandler) thanklessly spends every Halloween making sure the residents of his hometown, Salem, celebrate safely and play by the rules. But this year, an escaped criminal and a mysterious new neighbor have Hubie on high alert.

10. Over the Moon 

Netflix Release Date: October 23rd


The collaboration between Netflix and Pearl Studio has generated one of the most exciting new Originals of 2020. Over the Moon, Netflix’s latest animated feature takes inspiration from one of the most beloved classic Chinese tales.
