Netflix has recently released its dark-comedy series Kaos created and produced by Charlie Covell on 29th August 2024.  The storyline of this British mythological drama revolves around three humans who discover their connection with each other and with an ancient prophecy. Along with this they also deal with the arrogant and corrupt Gods of the Classical mythology.

This dark-comedy drama is turning heads and fans are getting obsessed with the storyline of the series. This series is a modern-day interpretation of the Greek mythology. Jeff Goldblum, Janet McTeer, and Cliff Curtis starrer series Kaos is earning a lot of appreciation and getting praised by the audience.

On 22nd August 2022, the filming of this dark-comedy drama started in Spain and Italy.  The first teaser video of this Netflix original series was released on YouTube on 19th March 2024. The teaser showcased Jeff Goldblum’s character Zeus.

Jeff Goldblum is popular for the roles he played in the movies Jurassic Park and Independence Day. The pair of Jeff Goldblum and Janet McTeer is being praised by the audience because of their great blend of humour and drama.

In an interview, creator and producer Charlie Covell said, "Jeff Goldblum as Zeus. Those four words encapsulate what the show is."

The concept of Netflix’s series Kaos was developed from a short comic play based on Clytemnestra in the underworld. This short comic play was also produced by Charlie Covell in the year 2000. Charlie described the underworld as a ‘disorganised dusty hole’ and Clytemnestra as a ‘faceless underworld worker’. This idea od Charlie Covell has evolved into the current Netflix show Kaos, that is a combination of dark humour and a vibrant visual aesthetic.

Charlie Covell said that Kaos basically explores the timeless themes of power and corruption. He added, “There have always been ruling classes and people who abuse power. That's true now as at any point in history. I think that's the timeless theme.”

Describing the series Covell said, “it's unique, romantic, emotional, moving, touching, complicated and charismatic.” He further said, "And, in the case of Zeus its cruel, surprising, unexpected. I liked all that."
