After the first season of 'The Witcher,' fans have been excitedly waiting what will happen next in Geralt of Rivia's (Henry Cavill) life. Netflix has revealed what fans may expect from season 2 of the successful series.

Though the upcoming season's release date has yet to be announced, Netflix released a mysterious but intriguing teaser on Friday, giving fans a sneak peek at what to expect from season two of the fantasy series.



The 12-second clip was provided by Netflix Geeked, offering fans a look of Ciri, who is played by Feya Allan. ''Lost in the woods no more. Meet Ciri in #TheWitcher Season 2. #GeekedWeek,'' the caption reads.

‘The Witcher’ season 2 will pick up from the first season’s ending where Geralt was convinced that Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) died at the Battle of Sodden.He takes Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan) to Kaer Morhen, his childhood home, because it is the safest location he knows. Outside the gates of the Continent, kings, elves, humans, and demons vie for supremacy, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous-  the mysterious power she possesses inside.

‘The Witcher' series features Kim Bodnia (Killing Eve), Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones), Yasen Atour (Young Wallender), Agnes Born, Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders), Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish Girl), Mecia Simson and Basil Eidenbenz. 

Henry is back as Geralt of Rivia, a lone monster hunter who strives to find his place in a world where people are frequently more evil than beasts.
