After the massive success of Love Is Bling Season 4, Love on the Spectrum, The Ultimatum: Queer Love, and many more, OTT giant Netflix is all set to bring a brand new dating reality show for its Japanese fans and even for the world people around the world named- Love Village. Love Village's official synopsis says, "Singles 35 and over of various backgrounds relocate to a house in the countryside for another chance at love. Will they find "the one" — or leave alone?" Notably, Love Village is expected to increase the footprint of Netflix in Japan. Not only this, it is observed that the craze for dating reality shows has amped up in the United States. Love Village Release Date

Love Village will be released on Netflix on May 2, 2023, worldwide. Executively Produced by Naomi Satoh, Love Village will follow sixteen individuals or let's say singles who will try to take their relationship to the next level. Notably, Love Village participants will be moved to a different location and try to form new connections with each other. Like the name of the show Love Village, the singles will be shifted to the countryside where they will be given a chance to find their soul mates or love at the Japanese dating reality show. Talking about who will be presenting the show, Netflix's Love Village will be hosted by famous Japanese personalities Becky and Atsushi Tamura. Going by Love Village Trailer, both Becky and Atsushi Tamura will be seen doing commentary and expressing their take on the contestants who will be trying to mingle on the dating reality show. The two hosts will be observing the changing relationships from afar in the comfort of a studio.

Love Village Concept

While the synopsis says there will be a total of 32 contestants in the show, the concept is somewhat different. As per reports, there will nbe sixteen different singles hailing from different cities of the country will come together to take part in the reality series. Each of them will have no idea about the other contestants, and they will be meeting each other for the first time in the show. Moreover, they will be located in a secluded and fairway area, away from the city lights. Their destination is present near the mountain and they will have to live with each other for the next couple of days. Then, the contestants will be divided into eight women and eight men as they will try to get to know each other.

The Love Village trailer gives a small glimpse of how the Japanese dating show will be different from other shows available on Netflix. Atsushi Tamura jokingly says that 'At 45 years old they are doing the same things they did at 19' meaning some of the contestants might be even in their forties. Another glimpse shows that the there will be love triangle in the show which will make it even more complicated and spicer as compared to other shows. With expectations from the Japanese dating show is high, Love Village will be indeed worth watching for not only Japanese fans but also dating show fans.
