New school building inaugurated in Nepal aided by India

Indian government helped to build the new building of Bhimsen Adarsha Higher Secondary School in Devchuli of Nawalpur district which cost NRs 25.83 million.

Nepal's central Nawalpur district got a new school building inaugurated with India’s assistance. The new building of Bhimsen Adarsha Higher Secondary School in Devchuli of Nawalpur district was constructed with the financial support Indian government. The construction of the school building cost NRs 25.83 million.

Representatives of the Embassy of India, Kathmandu, District Coordination Committee, School Management Committee and local leaders were present at the inaugural event of the school building which was done through video-conferencing on Monday.

The new school building has three floors, including 16 classrooms, laboratories, administration and staff rooms, meeting hall, canteen, medical room and sanitation facilities.

Bhimsen Adarsha Higher Secondary School, established in 1969, offers classes up to intermediate and with over 55 per cent of the school student are girls.

According to a statement from the Indian Embassy, Kathmandu, construction of this new school building is another example of a healthy relationship between India and Nepal in the education sector which shows both countries are determined in promoting quality education.
