In a bizarre development, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on Thursday was slapped at Chandigarh Airport by a constable-rank woman CISF officer. Mandi MP-Elect Kangana Ranaut was going to Delhi to meet the BJP's top leadership after winning the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. However, when Kangana Ranaut went to board the flight to Delhi from Chandigarh Airport, she was allegedly slapped by a constable rank CISF officer named Kulwinder Kaur. While the reason for Kangana getting slapped by the Chandigarh CISF woman constable is not known, it is alleged that the actress was assaulted over her remarks on farmers during the protest.
Kangana Ranaut's slap video went viral on social media in which the actress was seen involved in a massive argument while other CISF personnel were trying to calm her down. Now, in the latest update in Kangana Ranaut slapgate, the actress has reached New Delhi. Kangana was mobbed by the media outside the Delhi Airport. Many asked the actress why she was slapped at Chandigarh Airport but the 37-year-old actress kept her mouth shut.
In the meantime, a newswire stated that an inquiry committee comprising senior CISF officers has been set up to conduct a further investigation into the matter.
On June 4, Kangana Ranaut defeated her closest rival Vikramaditya Singh of Congress by a margin of over 74,000 votes to win Mandi. After her victory, the actress also shared an Instagram post thanking the people from her constituency. “Heartfelt gratitude to all the people of Mandi for this love and trust… This victory belongs to all of you, this is the victory of your trust in Prime Minister Modi and BJP, this is the victory of Sanatan and in the honour of Mandi,” she wrote.
