Emiway Bantai, whose real name is Muhammad Bilal Shaikh, has received threatening messages warning of death by Goldy Brar, a gangster located in Canada and close to Lawrence Bishnoi. According to reports, the threat came to Bantai on a number linked to his label, Bantai Records, on May 25.

It is to be noted that this threat was sent after Emiway Bantai released a song paying tribute to Punjab’s legendary singer Sidhu Moosewala ahead of his third death anniversary.

Rohit Godara, a trusted associate of the gang, is living in the United States, according to the threat. Emiway lodged a complaint with the help of a police staff member at the NRI Police Station.

His fans were shocked when a rap tribute he made to the late Sidhu Moosewala sparked a huge outcry after the singer was gunned down. Appearing in India Today, Bantai said, “Sidhu Moosewala is not simply someone who sings. He’s about much more than just music. I and many others are inspired daily by his voice, his message, and his spirit. I want to pay respects to someone who changed things and pushed the sport ahead. Sidhu and I had talked about working together. This song allows me to realize that dream.”

His supporters claim he died suddenly while he was traveling between districts in a car on that tragic day. The Death Route singer was one of 424 people whose security was lowered the day before the event. The singer had just two commandos with him when he was shot, rather than the usual four. Because there were five in the group, Moosewala decided to take a private car as his Thar couldn't seat all of them, his friends explained.
