Dinkar Gupta, the director general of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), arrived in Amritsar on Sunday. During this time, he has paid his respects at Sri Harmandir Sahib. By bowing down in the Gurughar, he received the blessings of the Gurus. When NIA Chief Dinkar Gupta arrived at the security barrier, he refused to say much.
When he arrived at the Golden Temple, the NIA Chief was accompanied by DCP Parminder Singh Bhandal. Dinkar Gupta, who arrived in casual attire wearing a sky blue shirt and black pants, walked around the Golden Temple like a common man before bowing to the Gurughar and seeking his blessings. Speaking to the media, Dinkar Gupta only stated that this was a private visit and he was only here to receive Guru Maharaj's blessings.
The NIA Chief resisted responding to more inquiries from the media throughout this time. The media raised a query on the NIA's raid on the head of Khalsa Aid in North India and India in the preceding days.
