In a major development, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has officially requested a list of YouTubers and others arrested by Punjab Police in recent weeks, as part of a widening investigation into a suspected Pakistan-based ISI spy network operating in India. As per reports, NIA officials have launched a deeper investigation into individuals involved in leaking sensitive information about Indian Army movements to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), particularly those linked to the "Operation Sindoor" crackdown. The move follows the arrest of several alleged spies and YouTubers in Punjab, including the high-profile apprehension of spy Jyoti Malhotra and YouTuber Jasbir Singh aka JaanMahal.
As per reports, IPS officer Sadanand Date-led NIA officials have initiated coordination with Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav to obtain detailed findings from state-level interrogations. The agency is expected to examine all disclosures, digital evidence, and patterns emerging from the arrested suspects.
