Shocking information has come to fore from Jalandhar in which a student of NIT Jalandhar dies by suicide. Deceased was identified as Pankaj Kesari, resident of Varanasi. He was a B.Tech final-year student and used to live in hostel. It was through a personal diary that police came to know about the reason for his suicide.
Police looking over the case revealed that it was informed to them last night that a student in NIT Jalandhar has died by suicide by hanging himself in hostel room. Soon after this, police reached the spot and possession of body which is now at Civil Hospital. In a personal diary found near his body, it was written that he is taking this step due to personal compulsions and no one is to blamed for the same. As per the information room and belongings of deceased were sealed by police and will only be opened on the arrival of family members.
DSP Surinder Kumar told about what was written in diary. It is also being alleged by family members that the handwriting in the suicide note does not match with that of their son. After this DSP stated that investigation is initiated in this regard and soon information on same will be provided.
