IPL 2024 is yet proving to be a boon for the Indian Cricket Team as it has discovered another young talent that can bolster the Men In Blue's strength in the future. The name of the cricketer is Nitish Kumar Reddy. Nitish Kumar Reddy on Tuesday was adjudged the player of the match for playing a match-winning knock of 64 runs off 37 balls against the Punjab Kings. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Tuesday defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) in a last-over thriller by 2 runs. Notably, everything was going in favour of PBKS until Nitish Kumar Reddy or Nitish Reddy played a sublime knock and pushed SRH's total to 182 in the end. Not only this, Nitish Reddy also bowled for the SRH during the match against PBKS. Following his match-winning knock, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) started to trend on X for all the wrong reasons.

Multiple fans on social media slammed the RCB and its scouts for not identifying good talents from Indian domestic leagues. Infact, a fan on Reddit claimed that Nitish Reddy participated in the RCB trials in 2022. The fan further claimed that Nitish also impressed the RCB scouts, however, due to undisclosed reasons the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) did not buy him in the auction.

The user on Reddit claimed, "he was in RCB trials for 2022 season! instead we went for Sonu yadav (pace bowling allrounder). Even nitesh is!"

Soon after this, many fans started to claim the same thing about Nitish Reddu's RCB connection. Amid Nitish Kumar Reddy's RCB trial claims, True Scoop News tried to dig more and it found out that the partial claim of the fans is true.

Meaning, back in December 2022, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) acquired uncapped all-rounder R Sonu Yadav at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction in Kochi. Hailing from Gorakhpur, Sonu was bought for his all-round abilities. As per reports, Sonu impressed everyone by his performance in the 2018 edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League, when he went on to scalp 8 wickets from seven games.

Coming to Nitish Reddy, True Scoop News could not verify whether he attended RCB trials or not. However, multiple fans are claiming that he tried his luck at the RCB trials in 2022.
