No more guns! Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam transform their look for new 'Looney Tunes Cartoons'

However, the cartoons will continue to have plenty of sticks of Acme dynamite and cartoon violence, but Fudd will no longer carry his over-sized hunting rifle and Sam won't have his pistols.

Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam are dwelling different looks in the "Looney Tunes Cartoons" that launched on the new streaming service, HBO Max. 

They both have decided to go gun-free while their outfits will remain the same. 

However, the cartoons will continue to have plenty of sticks of Acme dynamite and cartoon violence, but Fudd will no longer carry his over-sized hunting rifle and Sam won't have his pistols. 

Executive producer and showrunner Peter Browngardt in an interview with an eminent media house has said, "We're not doing guns. But we can cartoony violence -- TNT, the Acme stuff. All that was kind of grandfathered in."

Fudd, in a short titled "Dynamite Dance", uses a scythe as he chases his opponent Bugs Bunny, who in response makes use of explosives to blow Fudd up multiple times. 


Reportedly, no mention has been made whether or not that the guns being removed was a response to gun violence and school shootings in the US.
