Development works in various villages of Balachaur block to commence soon

The Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh is fully committed to the overall development of the villages of the state and no shortage of funds would be allowed for the development works. This was stated by Mr. Manish Tewari, Member Lok Sabha and former Union Minister today in the presence of Mr. Chaudhary Darshan Lal Mangupur, MLA Balachaur , Mr. Pawan Dewan, Chairman Punjab Large Scale Industries Development Board and other dignitaries. Checks were granted to initiate the development process.

He said that no stone would be left unturned in providing urban amenities to the villages.

Strongly condemning the unprofessional and stubborn attitude of the Union Government towards the farmers, Mr. Tewari said that the country's benefactor against the anti-farmer black farming laws of the Center has been spending nights on the streets for a long time in this perpetual cold,but the central government is not being affected. He said that Punjab government had stood by the farmers from the very beginning and fight would be fought at every level to get these black laws back.

 He also inaugurated development works costing Rs. 27 lakh in three villages of the block and handed over checks of grants of Rs. 33 lakh to them. Meanwhile development at a cost of Rs 9.10 lakh in those villages was initatiated , 16.60 lakh were given to Panchayat Committe for the development tasks.

Similarly, a check for a grant of Rs. 12.79 lakh was handed over at village Suddha Majra for the commencement of development works of Rs 8.72 lakhs. He also laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs. 9.80 lakh at village Bir Kathgarh and handed over a check of Rs. 3.68 lakh to the Panchayat. He also urged that the grants released for the development works should be spent as per the instructions and the utilization certificates should be submitted as soon as possible so that more grants could be arranged.

On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Amardeep Singh Bains, S. D. M. Balachaur Deepak Ruhela,D.D. P. Davinder Sharma, Chairman Market Committee Balachaur Harjit Jadli, Chairman Block Samiti Balachaur Dharmapal, Sarpanch Vasdev, Sarpanch Madan Lal Hakla, Sarpanch Gurdev Singh, Vijay Chechi, Ashok Tonsa, Raj Kumar, Surinder Shinda, Desh Raj Hakla, Malkit Singh Nambardar, Jatinder Singh, Sandeep Bhatia, Rajinder Singh Shindi, Vijay Rana and other dignitaries from the respective areas were present.
