
Ina series of tweets, Bollywood Actor Taapsee Pannu today finally broke hersilence over alleged tax evasion and raids by IT department. She addressed all theallegations made against her in the tweet and even cracked a joke saying ‘Notso sasti anymore’.
Shesaid three days of intense search of three things primarily. “The Keys of thealleged bungalow that I apparently own in Paris, because summer holidays arearound the corner”, she tweeted.
Theother tweet reads, “The alleged receipt worth 5 crores to frame and keep forfuture pitching because I have been refused that money before”.
Inthe last one she wrote, “My memory of 2013 raid that happened with me accordingto our honourable finance minister”. P.S – “Not so sasti” anymore!, she said.
Accordingto Taapsee these are what the income-tax (I-T) department primarily foundduring its raid on properties linked to her. However, she in the series oftweets using the ‘alleged’ word showed no connections to what the IT departmenthas been quoting.
AnuragKashyap and Taapsee Pannu have been vocal on social media platforms and havealso raised concerns over the farmers' protest, which has been going on on theborders of the national capital since November 26 last year against the threenew farm laws. Recently, Taapsee even criticised the tweets by bollywood celebritiesin support of the government in response to pop star Rihanna's post drawingattention to the farmers' agitation.
EvenTaapsee rumored boyfriend Boe had tweeted on Thursday: "Finding myself ina bit of turmoil. Representing. for the first time as a coach for some greatathletes, meanwhile I-T department is raiding Taapsee's houses back home,putting unnecessary stress on her family, especially her parents. @KirenRijijuplease do something."
Meanwhile,reacting to Danish badminton player Mathias Boe tweet, sports minister KirenRijiju tweeted, "Law of the land is supreme and we must abide by that. Thesubject matter is beyond yours and my domain. We must stick to our professionalduties in the best interest of Indian Sports”.
