Shocking news has come to the fore from Bathinda where a beauty contest is being organized to get the girls married to an NRI. Reportedly, an event is being organized in Bathinda where it is being said that all the girls who think they are ‘beautiful’ should participate in the contest. It was also mentioned that the girl who will turn out to be the winner of the contest will get a chance to get married to a Canada-based NRI. This advertisement that has been put up has left everyone amused.
As soon as the information about the same was received, a case against the organizers was registered. It is being said that 2 people have been arrested now. The accused have been identified as Surinder Singh and Ram Dayal Jaura. The advertisement that was displayed read that a contest is being organized on the 23rd of October at Sweet Milan Hotel, Bathina in which all the girls can take part and the winning participant will get an offer to marry a Canada-based NRI.
The police have informed that the accused have been charged under sections 420, 501, 419, 509 and 109 of IPC Section 6 of the Indecent Representation of Women Prohibition Act. They have also been charged under Section 3 Punjab prevention of defacement of Property Act.
