"Sacrifices of the martyred CRPF jawans won't be forgotten," says NSA Ajit Doval

At the 80th anniversary, the CRPF declared that no cultural programme would be held this year to pay respect to the martyred soldiers

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Tuesday paid respect and homage to the martyred 40 CRPF jawans in the deadly Pulwama Terror Attack on February 14 this year. He addressed the 80th anniversary parade of the Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) in Gurgaon.

 "I want to pay tribute to the brave 40 CRPF jawans, who sacrificed their lives in Pulwama for the country. The country hasn't forgotten and it will never forget...If your morale is high, India's future is safe...Maintain this credibility, capability and professionalism as India is looking up to you," said Mr Doval.

"What we have to do...which path to follow, what action is to be taken and at what time... our nation's leadership is capable and strong enough to decide," the NSA added.

At the 80th anniversary, the CRPF declared that no cultural programme would be held this year to pay respect to the martyred soldiers.

Doval came under scanner after the Pulwama terror attack with national security being questioned.

Post attack, Ajit Doval was one of the main planners of the airstrikes on Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camps.
