NSA Ajit Doval security lapse: Three commandos sacked, DIG and Commandant transferred

The incident took place in February 2022 when a suspect attempted to drive a car into Doval's official house in Delhi.

In connection with the security lapse of National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, three CISF commandos have been dismissed from their positions. In addition, two officials with the ranks of Commandant and DIG have been transferred.

The incident took place in February 2022 when a suspect attempted to drive a car into Doval's official house in Delhi. However, he was taken into custody by the on-site security personnel. He said that his body has a chip and is controlled remotely after being arrested. On investigation, no chip was found in his body.

In Delhi's safest area, Lutyens' Zone, Ajit Doval lives in the 5 Janpath bungalow. Inder Kumar Gujral, a former prime minister, formerly resided here. There is also a bungalow of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh near Doval's bungalow. Doval has the security of the Z+ level. They are under CISF commando protection.

Around 7.45 a.m. on February 16, the accused came to the car in a red SUV. He told during interrogation that he is a resident of Karnataka and was driving a rented car. He was identified as Bangalore native Shantanu Reddy. His mental health was not looking well, the police said. He was questioned by a special team of Delhi Police.
